People of Manali have a distinct culture consisting of socio-cultural lifestyle. The indigenous community still is very much blended with their cultural habits. People of the region are culturally very rich and people from different parts of the country come here to enjoy the distinct culture. The people of the region still prefer traditional attire mainly in winters thou youth is way lured by the westernized environment. The traditional clothes of people here includes woollen made clothes called pattu. People here believe in simple living with high perseverance and live close to nature . People here worship deities . Every village has their own deity and god with a dedicated temple to that deity.. the sages also known as" gur" acts as mediator between people of the region and gods words.
